About Erica Scher
Nurse Practitioner Erica Scher graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from George Washington University with a BA in Psychology. She received her MPH in Epidemiology from Columbia University.
Erica served as a research scientist at the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene in the Lead Poisoning Prevention Unit. She left NYCDOHMH to work as a research manager at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the Department of Preventive Medicine.
After deciding to pivot her career to focus on clinical care, Erica attended Hunter College and received her BSN and MSN in Adult-Gerontology. As a research nurse, she specialized in stroke care and stroke research at NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn. Erica is thrilled to continue providing compassionate, patient-centered care as a nurse practitioner at INA.
Erica is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and an Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Qualified Dementia Care Provider. She has numerous publications.
Erica loves exploring Brooklyn, practicing yoga in her free time, and getting to the beach whenever possible.
Erica is a Nurse Practitioner at INA with a Board Certification in Adult-Gerontologic Primary Care from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
